STOPPING THE CHAIN REACTION

               If you want to save your teeth, you’ll need your dentist’s help to stop the chain reaction that often begins with gum disease. The disease can be deceptive, because you may feel no discomfort at all in its early stages.  By the time you're aware of occasional bleeding of the gums, however, this disease may have already become well established.  Left untreated, bleeding gums may ultimately lead to destruction of the underlying bone.  This may cause your teeth to loosen or abscess and eventually can lead to tooth loss.
